Hanoi is a capital with a rich history and the second-largest city in the country, the starting point of Best of North Vietnam.
Upon your arrival at Noi Bai Airport, our guide and driver will meet you at the exit with a welcome sign, then we will transfer you to your hotel in the city, a 1-hour drive away.
Standard check-in time is 14:00, early check-in is available depending on hotel availability and may incur an additional charge.

Today, on Best of North Vietnam, you will explore the best places in the capital on Hanoi Tours, one of the must-see places to visit in Vietnam.
08:00 AM: After breakfast at your hotel, check out and leave your luggage at the reception to start your Hanoi city tour with many top places to visit in Hanoi.
First, we will visit the Ho Chi Minh Complex, where you can see the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Ba Dinh Square, the Ho Chi Minh Stilt House, and the One Pillar Pagoda.
Note: The Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum is closed on Mondays and Fridays, but you can still see it from the outside at Ba Dinh Square.
Next, from Ho Chi Minh Complex 5-minute drive, we come to the Temple of Literature, the first university in Vietnam. This peaceful place is great for learning about the country's history and culture.
You will have some free time to enjoy lunch at a local restaurant (at your own cost).
In the afternoon, we visit Hoa Lo Prison, also known as the Hanoi Hilton, where prisoners were held during the Vietnam War. This visit will give you a deeper understanding of the country’s past.
After that, we return to Hanoi Old Quarter for a fun cyclo ride around Hoan Kiem Lake, where you can enjoy the lively atmosphere of the ancient streets.
You will have free time until around 9:00 PM when we will take you to the train station to board your night train to Lao Cai. Your cabin is a 4-berth shared space with air conditioning, where you can relax during the 8-hour train ride.
Meals are on your own, and you will spend the night on the train, heading to Sapa, one of the most beautiful places to visit in Vietnam.

On day 3 of Best of North Vietnam, you will arrive at Lao Cai station around 6:00 AM, where you’ll meet your local guide and then drive for about 1 hour (30 km) to Sapa. After a refreshing breakfast at a local restaurant, relax and prepare for your exciting walking tour.
We will begin Sapa Tours by driving towards the stunning Muong Hoa Valley, , one of the most beautiful places to visit in Sapa with its breathtaking terraced rice fields and traditional villages. The valley has amazing views, and as we walk down, you will learn about the local rice cultivation process, from field to table.
During the walk, your guide will share fascinating insights about the daily lives and customs of the Black Hmong and Giay ethnic minorities. If you’re visiting between May and October, you’ll see how the locals work on the rice fields, including plowing, watering, planting, and harvesting, activities central to their culture.
We’ll check out Lao Chai village, where the Black Hmong folks live, and then head over to Ta Van village, where the Giay people are. These spots have amazing views of the mountains, rivers, and the beautiful Muong Hoa Valley.
You can check out the traditional homes where the Black Hmong live, recognized for their colorful indigo outfits and rich cultural traditions. The Giay people, who have a smaller population, build their homes using wood and bamboo, with clay floors.
Upon your visit to Ta Van village, your car will promptly pick you up and return you to Sapa. You will check into your hotel at 2:00 PM and have the remainder of the afternoon to recharge.

Start your next day on Best of North Vietnam with a delicious breakfast at your hotel before embarking on an exciting journey to Fansipan Mountain, known as the "Roof of Indochina."
Your driver and tour guide will take you to the Cable Car Station, where you'll board the cable car for a 20-minute ride that offers stunning panoramic views of the surrounding landscapes.
Upon reaching an altitude of 2,800 meters, you’ll have time to explore and take in the breathtaking scenery. Visit the pagoda, a significant spiritual site, and enjoy the short train ride up to the mountain peak. The views from the top are truly awe-inspiring, and it's perfect for some memorable photos.
Don’t forget your camera, as this will be one of the most beautiful moments of your Vietnam Adventure Tour. Once we're done exploring, we'll hop on the cable car to head back down, and then our driver will drop you off at your hotel in Sapa. Just a heads up, your hotel room will only be available until noon.
In the afternoon, enjoy free time to relax until our VIP bus arrives to take you back to Hanoi. The bus ride will be around 5 hours, providing you with a comfortable and scenic journey. Upon arriving in Hanoi, check-in at your hotel and unwind for the evening. Dinner will be on your own.

A Best of North Vietnam cannot be excluded from a Halong Bay cruise. After bbreakfast at hotel, a bus from the cruise operator will pick you up from your place in the Hanoi Old Quarter and take you to Halong Bay at 8:00 A.M.
On the way, there will be a short break at a rest stop, where you can relax, grab a cup of tea or coffee (at your own expense), and explore the local arts and crafts center for about 20-25 minutes.
Upon arrival at the pier around noon, board your Halong Bay Cruise and set sail to explore one of the most beautiful natural wonders in Vietnam.
During your cruise, enjoy a delicious lunch featuring traditional Vietnamese specialties while cruising past breathtaking limestone islands and islets, including iconic spots such as Lu Huong Islet, Duck Rock, Dog Rock, and Fighting Cock Rock.
