Hanoi is the history-long capital of Vietnam and is the second-largest city in the country, so it’s the gateway to start your Vietnam Tour Packages.
When you arrive at Noi Bai Airport, our guide and driver will meet you at the exit to start your Highlights of North and Central Vietnam tour. They will welcome you to the Noi Bai Airport and drive you to your hotel in the Hanoi center. The drive to the hotel takes about one hour.
The standard check-in time at the hotel is 2:00 PM. If you arrive early, you may need to wait, or you can pay an extra fee for early check-in, depending on availability.
The rest of day 1 of the Highlights of North and Central Vietnam tour is free for you to explore some places to visit in Hanoi. You can walk around and visit nearby places of interest.

Today, you will spend the whole full day for Hanoi Tours.
At 8:00 AM, after breakfast at your hotel, your guide and driver will pick you up. The first stop is the Ho Chi Minh Complex, where you will see the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Ba Dinh Square, Ho Chi Minh's House on Stilts, and the One Pillar Pagoda. This area is a must-see in Hanoi, as it tells the story of Vietnam's revolutionary leader, Ho Chi Minh.
Next, tourists will be on car to come further from the Hanoi centre to the Temple of Literature (or Van Mieu Quoc Tu Giam), Vietnam’s first university. You will learn about the country’s education history and enjoy the peaceful garden, a place for study and reflection.
After the visit, you will have lunch at a local restaurant, where you can enjoy traditional Vietnamese dishes.
In the afternoon, visit Hoa Lo Prison (the 'Hanoi Hilton'), which was used during the French colonial period and the Vietnam War during 1960s. You will learn about the country's struggles for independence and see exhibits about the prison's history.
Later, enjoy a cyclo tour around the Hanoi Old Quarter, where you can explore narrow streets and bustling markets. This is a great chance to see how local people live. Stop by a coffee shop near Hoan Kiem Lake to relax and observe the lively atmosphere of the area.

Continuing your Highlights of North and Central Vietnam, you will visit Halong Bay, one of the most beautiful places in Vietnam and a UNESCO World Heritage site that you cannot miss in Vietnam Tours.
In the morning at around 08:00 AM – 08:30 AM, the shuttle bus of the Halong Bay cruise will pick you up from your hotel around Hanoi Old Quarter and drive you to the Halong Bay pier.
By 12:00 PM, you will arrive at the pier and board your cruise. Check into your cabin and enjoy a delicious seafood lunch while cruising through the bay. The scenery here is breathtaking, with over 3,000 limestone islands rising from the blue water.
You will have the chance to swim at a quiet beach and explore one of the many grottoes in the bay. These natural wonders are perfect for taking photos and enjoying the peaceful atmosphere.
A special highlight of the day is the sunset on Halong Bay. Relax on the sundeck or from your cabin's balcony as you watch the sunset over the water. This moment is a great way to enjoy the beauty of the bay with your partner or family.

In day 2 of overnight Halong Bay cruise, it’s suggested that you should wake up early to enjoy the morning sunshine and fresh morning air in Halong Bay. Start your day with a relaxing Tai Chi exercise on the sundeck, followed by a light breakfast.
You’ll spend the morning enjoying more activities on the boat before checking out. On the way back to the harbor, relax and have brunch while taking in the beautiful surroundings.
Say goodbye to the cruise and Halong Bay as we drive back to Hanoi. We will transfer to Hanoi Airport for your flight to Da Nang.
Once you arrive at Danang Airport, our guide and driver will meet you and take you to Hoi An, which is around 30 km away and takes about 45 minutes to reach. After checking into your hotel in Danang City in the afternoon, you’ll have the rest of the day free.

On day 5 of Highlights of North and Central Vietnam, Hoi An is one of the next places to visit in Vietnam which is known for its ancient town and for the countryside, so it’s great for you to enjoy authentic local culture. Today, you’ll experience both with many classic places to visit in Hoi An!
After breakfast, your guide will meet you at your hotel and take you to Tra Que Village, famous for its herb and vegetable planting. If you prefer not to cycle, you can take a car to the village.
Once there, you’ll have the chance to join the local farmers and experience traditional rice planting methods. Learn how to plow, plant seeds, water the herbs, and many other tasks that help produce a bountiful crop.
Next, we will visit a local house for a cooking demonstration. Watch as the host shows how to make Banh Xeo, crispy Vietnamese pancakes, and then try making them yourself, it's fun and interactive!
You will enjoy the food you made along with other dishes prepared by our chef for lunch.
After lunch, we return to Hoi An for a walking tour through the Old Quarter. Your guide will show you the most popular places to visit in Hoi An, including the Phuc Kien Assembly Halls, the 400-year-old Japanese Covered Bridge, and the local fish market.
During the walk, you’ll see ancient houses built with Chinese, Japanese, French, and European architectural styles. If you’d like, ask your guide to stop at a tailor shop, where you can get custom-made suits or dresses in just a few hours. Or stop at a local café in the Old Town to enjoy a peaceful moment.
After the tour, transfer back to your hotel for an overnight Hoi An stay. Dinner is at your own arrangement.

This tour covered a lot, but it didn’t feel too busy. I liked that we had free time in the evenings. My favorite moment was sipping coffee by Hoan Kiem Lake and watching local people dance and do exercises.
I liked biking through the village and meeting the farmers. Cooking with them was a new experience for me. The town itself was lovely and quiet. I even got a custom suit made in just one day.
We wanted something relaxing but still interesting. Asia Tour Deals gave us the perfect tour. Hoi An was so lovely, especially at night. I also really liked Hanoi’s Old Quarter.
The limestone islands in Halong Bay looked unreal. I also liked visiting the old pagodas and learning about Vietnam’s history. The tour guide was friendly and answered all our questions. Highlights of North and Central Vietnam was a good mix of nature and culture.
From riding a cyclo through Hanoi to planting veggies in Hoi An, every activity was fun and simple. I especially liked learning how to cook local food. I even made banh xeo for my family back home after the trip.
I liked that we had fun stuff to do, but also free time to just relax. We tried a cooking class in Hoi An and biked through a small village, which was so cool. The cruise in Halong Bay was also a nice break from the city.
The cruise was awesome. We got to watch sunset from the deck, ate fresh seafood, and slept in a nice cabin. It was peaceful the whole time. Asia Tour Deals picked a great route for us. I’d love to bring my parents next time.
Didn’t know much about Vietnam before this, but now I want to come back. Hanoi was busy but cool, and Halong Bay was super calm and pretty. Hoi An was my favorite, though. Lanterns everywhere and great food.
This trip had everything I wanted. I got to walk around Hanoi, sleep on a boat in Halong Bay, and chill in Hoi An. My fav part was riding the basket boat in the village. Asia Tour Deals really made it easy, I didn’t have to plan anything myself.
