Welcome to Lao Cai! You’re now standing in a charming highland city near the Chinese border.
Follow your guide downtown to enjoy your first breakfast in Lao Cai at a local noodle house. After that, your tour will officially begin.
Start with a trip to one of the local markets. Our consultants will change your destination as well as a detailed program based on your day of arrival:
Located among the hills, hidden in dreamy floating clouds, each market has its own specialties but they are all vibrant and lively.
From vegetables, herbs, mushrooms, wood ear mushrooms, honey, corn wine, and upland rice to household appliances, jewelry, and colorful brocade items. Those markets have them all.
Immerse in the breeze of Lao Cai’s mountains and forests, while rambling around the market to explore a part of tradition in the lives of the people here.
Treat yourself to some market signatures for lunch then we will head to Sapa in the afternoon. Make sure to catch the one-of-a-kind views of cloud-woven mountaintops and vast valleys as we travel.
Use the rest of the day as you prefer. Put your feet up and enjoy your night at the hotel in Sapa.

At 10:00 A.M, meet your tour guide at the hotel lobby and we’ll get some fresh air with a trek downhill to Cat Cat Village.
Covered by the green of mountains and forests, terraced fields mixed with the rustic and simple features of small houses built from wood, Cat Cat Village is rather tranquil yet very poetic.
This Black Hmong Village is also well-known for its skills in brocade weaving as well as the intricate work of crafting gold and silver jewelry.
We’ll take a walk around the village and all the way to a waterfall and a hydroelectric station. After that, Cat Cat Village will be all yours to discover on your own.
You can stroll on the stone-paved road in the village, learn about Hmong people through their handmade crafts, or row slowly on a boat made from interconnected bamboo tubes down the stream.
For those who would like to try on traditional clothes or take photos, you can rent Hmong costumes to wear at some costume rentals. Some even show you where to have cool photos.
Boost your energy with some delicious food there before we hike back to the hotel. Enjoy your free time.

Rise and shine! Kick your day off right with a delicious breakfast in town. Don’t skip it! We’ll have a long day ahead of us.
After your breakfast in town, traverse the valley on a trail that cuts through rice paddy terraces, exhibiting the awe-inspiring panorama of Sapa’s nature.
Keep strolling till you reach the narrow river and make your way to Y Linh Ho Village of the Black Hmong people alongside the river banks.
Here, you will be welcomed by the hospitable locals, get an insight into their traditions, and tune in to thrilling anecdotes as well as experience their daily activities.
Sit back a little then we’ll head to the next stopover, the Muong Hoa Valley. Don’t forget to take a look at those ancient rocks spread across the valley, and admire the Hoa stream meandering along the way.
Follow the stream to Lao Chai Village of the Black Hmong minority and Ta Van Village of the Zay minority. If the weather is fine, you can paddle around in the river nearby.
You will have a picnic lunch of local delicacies in the majestic scenery of nature. Proceed to meet your diver at the main road for a drive back to Sapa Town later on.
Unwind for a couple of hours and maybe get yourself some souvenirs before transferring to Lao Cai. Please double-check your belongings because we’ll take a night train from Lao Cai to Hanoi.
Check in for your cabin and loosen up for another night on the train.
