Itinerary

Set your foot after a flight to Ho Chi Minh City, also called Saigon. This is the biggest city in Vietnam and an important center of culture and economy. The city features tall buildings, busy streets, and exciting nightlife. But it also has famous places like temples, cathedrals, and museums that show its history and culture.

When you arrive at Tan Son Nhat Airport, your private guide for Highlights of South and Dalat will meet you and take you to your hotel. 

Note: The standard check-in time in the Ho Chi Minh City hotel is 2:00 P.M. If you arrive early, there may be an extra fee, or you can wait until your room is ready.

On the second day of your Highlights of South and Dalat tour, you'll take a quick 1.5-hour ride from Ho Chi Minh City to the Mekong Delta, which is often called the "rice basket" of the South. This area is packed with lush orchards, colorful flower gardens, and a bunch of rivers and little canals.

After breakfast at the hotel in Ho Chi Minh City, just chill and wait for the guide to pick you up for the Mekong Delta tour. At the pier, you will be on a motorboat ride along the beautiful canals of the Mekong River. You will visit the four famous islands: Dragon, Unicorn, Turtle, and Phoenix, which are named after sacred animals in Vietnamese culture.

You will stop at a floating fish house to witness the daily life of the locals, where they raise fish and shrimp in the waters beneath their homes.

After that, you will visit a traditional workshop where coconut candy and honey are made. You can also enjoy listening to local music while trying your hand at some traditional crafts.

Lunch will be served at a riverside restaurant with a traditional Vietnamese menu. If you have specific dietary requests such as vegetarian or Halal food, you should inform us in advance.

After lunchtime, you can relax in the local garden before returning to the pier. On the way back to Ho Chi Minh City, you will visit the Vinh Trang Pagoda, an ancient architectural gem from the 19th century. You will learn about the history and enjoy the beauty of the pagoda for real Vietnam Cultural Tours.

Head back to your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City, grab dinner wherever you like, and kick back for a good night's sleep in a comfy spot.

Kep your day three on Highlights of South and Dalat going on, our driver will pick you up from your hotel and take you to the airport for your flight to Dalat. Dalat is known for its romantic beauty and pleasant climate, making it a favorite destination for both locals and international visitors.

Upon your arrival at Dalat Lien Khuong Airport, our guide will meet you at the exit and transfer you to the city. During the drive, you will enjoy scenic views of pine forests and, at times, light fog that adds to the charm of the area.

After you check in at your hotel, we will visit some of major Places to Visit in Dalat. First, we will head to the Truc Lam Monastery, a peaceful Zen Buddhist pagoda located on Phoenix Mountain. You will have time to explore the beautiful garden and learn about the monastery's history.

Then, we will take a walk to Tuyen Lam Lake, also known as Paradise Lake, where you can enjoy the tranquility of the surroundings. After that, we will drive to the Old Railway Station, which tells the fascinating story of Dalat’s railway history.

Finally, we will visit the Dalat Cathedral, a stunning French-style church built in the early 20th century.

In the evening, you will have free time to explore the city. You can visit the night market to shop and experience the local culture before returning to your hotel for the night.

In the morning, we will pick you up from your hotel to continue your Highlights of South and Dalat and head to Van Thanh Flower Village, one of the largest flower villages in Dalat. This village is famous for its flower cultivation, and you may have the chance to stop at a local farm to see how flowers are grown here.

Afterward, we will drive through Ta Nung Pass, where you can enjoy stunning views of the valley, pine forests, and surrounding mountains. Along the way, we will visit a K'Ho minority village, known for its unique traditional houses.

Next, we will stop at a coffee plantation to learn about the different types of coffee grown in the area, including Cherry, Arabica, and Robusta. You’ll see how weasel coffee is produced and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. If you'd like, you can taste a cup of fresh coffee (at your own expense).

Continuing the Dalat Tours, we will visit a local farm where crickets are raised. Here, you can observe how these insects are farmed and even try crunchy crickets if you're feeling adventurous.

Next, we will visit a rice wine-making house, where you’ll learn about the traditional process of making rice wine. You'll also have the chance to sample different types of locally-made wine, which is a fun and unique experience.

Finally, we will head to the Elephant Waterfall (Thac Voi), a beautiful and powerful waterfall. Please be careful as the path to the base of the waterfall can be slippery. Take your time to enjoy the stunning scenery and snap some photos before we head back to Dalat City.

You will return to your Da Lat hotel in the evening for a relaxing night, and meals will be on your own arrangement.

Enjoy your final morning in Dalat at your leisure. You have the room until noon (12:00) to relax and pack.
