This trip is ideal for anyone who loves food and wants to see more of Vietnam. From northern noodles to southern fresh spring rolls, the contrast in flavors was fascinating. Hue’s vegetarian lunch at the pagoda felt very peaceful. One of my favorite evenings was having grilled seafood in Nha Trang while watching the sky change color.
The food was the star of the trip. We cooked a few times, ate many local specialties, and tried food we hadn’t heard of before. The cooking class in Hoian stood out – the chef explained every step. I liked how the trip mixed activities like biking through villages and visiting floating markets with relaxing meals. The guides answered every question without rushing.
What I enjoyed most was how different each location felt. From the quiet old cafés in Hanoi to the colorful markets in the South, every day brought something new. The hands-on experiences like making banana blossom salad or learning about herbs in the garden added a lot. The cruise food was fresh and light, which helped after a few heavier meals in the cities. I felt well taken care of.
The best part of this tour is how it connects food with place. Eating fish fresh from the Mekong, making noodles in Hoian, and trying local fruit in Can Tho made the trip memorable. I appreciated that it wasn’t just about eating but also about learning. Sometimes the transport took a bit long, but the destinations made up for it. The balance of group activities and personal time was good overall.
I booked this trip because I wanted something more than just sightseeing and I got exactly that. I enjoyed the afternoon making rice paper rolls and tasting them right away. The boat ride through the Mekong was peaceful and gave a look at daily life. All the guides were patient, especially during cooking classes. They made the experience feel welcoming, even if you’re not great in the kitchen.
This itinerary gave a full look at Vietnamese cuisine without it feeling repetitive. We got to try different things every day, from street snacks in Hanoi to countryside meals in the Mekong. I especially liked the dinner on the cruise in Halong Bay – quiet atmosphere, great food. Cu Chi Tunnels were fascinating too. The guide in Hoian told good stories and gave helpful food tips.
This tour was a surprise in the best way. I loved the hands-on cooking lessons in Hanoi and Hoian. Trying grilled pork wrapped in rice paper was a highlight. The Halong Bay cruise was relaxing, with fresh seafood every meal. The trip had a steady pace and I appreciated the friendly guides who explained the background of each dish and location.
The variety of food was impressive, especially in Hue and Ho Chi Minh. Our lunch at a Buddhist pagoda in Hue was simple but flavorful. I liked the cooking sessions in each region – it gave me a better sense of how ingredients change depending on where you are. The floating market in Can Tho was a good contrast to the structured city tours. If I had to suggest one thing, it would be to include a bit more time for rest in the afternoon.
I never thought I’d enjoy learning to cook this much. The market visit in Hanoi was super engaging and the chef made the cooking class feel relaxed. I didn’t expect to like egg coffee, but it turned out to be one of my favorite parts. Walking through Hoian’s old streets was a peaceful break in the itinerary. Cai Rang Floating Market was packed with locals and the noodles we had on the boat were amazing. The schedule was a bit full, but worth it.

Oliver Mendez,
MexicoI joined this tour because I wanted to learn about Vietnamese cooking, and I got more than I expected. It included visits to markets, farms, home kitchens, and small restaurants. The tour was not just about tasting but also about understanding why certain ingredients are used. I also liked how each region had its flavor style. Ending the trip in the Mekong Delta was perfect. The floating market breakfast was something I’ll remember for a long time.
