Every city had a different taste. Saigon was sweet and spicy, Hoi An was light and fresh, and Hanoi was bold and warm. I liked that we could try street food, cook with locals, and eat in nice restaurants too. The food was always the highlight of the day.
I didn’t just eat a lot, I learned a lot too. Cu Chi tunnels and the imperial city of Hue gave us a real look at Vietnam’s past. Then, we’d chill with good food like bun bo hue or crispy pancakes. It was a solid mix of culture and comfort food.
From street food in Saigon to home-cooked lunch in a Hanoi village, every meal had its own story. I especially liked bun cha and the egg coffee in Hanoi. Our guide was great and always gave us tips on what to try. This tour made me fall in love with Vietnamese food.
I tried banh mi in many cities, but Hoi An had the best. Crispy bread, tasty pork, lots of flavor. We also walked around the night market and tried local snacks. Everything was so colorful and friendly. I loved the vibe here a lot.
Waking up early to visit Cai Be was worth it. Boats full of fruits, flowers, and even breakfast! I had a hot bowl of hu tieu right on the river. Everything felt so alive. The Vietnam food tour from south to north gave us tastes and views we’ll never forget.
The cooking class in Tra Que village was such a fun experience. We picked herbs from the garden and made fresh spring rolls and banh xeo. The lady who taught us was sweet and funny. I liked learning how Vietnamese people cook at home, not just eating at restaurants.
I’d had pho back home before, but having it in Hanoi was a whole new thing. The flavor, the fresh herbs, the setting, all just clicked. My girlfriend and I sat at a tiny table on the sidewalk, and it was one of our favorite meals. Vietnam seriously knows how to feed you right.
