We love walking and this tour had just the right amount. The view from Ta Nung Pass was stunning. We enjoyed the local dinner in Pu Luong. Everyone was friendly and helpful, and the trip ran smoothly from start to finish.
I took this tour to get out of the city and breathe a bit. The small villages were so relaxing. I liked waking up early and walking around while it was still quiet. The BBQ night in Mu Cang Chai was a fun way to end the day.
I enjoyed walking through villages and learning about how people live. The guide shared a lot about different ethnic groups. I liked seeing the cricket farm and how they make wine. It wasn’t just sightseeing, it felt more meaningful.
We came at the right time with golden rice fields everywhere. The places we stayed were cozy, and the views from our rooms were great. I liked the boat ride in Pu Luong and the quiet mornings in Mai Chau. It’s a trip I’d do again.

This tour wasn’t fancy, and I liked that. The homestays were basic but clean, and people treated us warmly. I enjoyed learning how people farm and live in the hills. The rice terraces are even more beautiful in person than in pictures.
My mom is in her 60s, and we both enjoyed it. The guide helped her during some steep parts, which was kind. She loved the tea farm and chatting with the locals. The air was cool and fresh, and everything felt slower in a good way.
We usually go to beaches, but this time we tried the mountains. Everything felt calm and open. Pu Luong and Mu Cang Chai were both stunning. We slept in places close to nature and met people who live there. A good balance of rest and exploring.
We visited places where people still live in traditional ways. I got to try weaving and saw how they make rice wine. The trek was doable and worth the effort. It felt like I was visiting real homes and not just tourist stops.
I was looking for something quiet and different, and this trip gave me that. Walking in Mu Cang Chai with no noise around was exactly what I needed. The hot spring in Ngoc Chien was a nice surprise too. The scenery was green and peaceful everywhere we went.

Maren Schulz,
GermanyI joined solo and was a bit nervous, but the group was nice. We looked out for each other on the treks. I liked the rice wine stop and the hot spring the most. Everything felt natural and not too rushed, which was perfect for me.
