Embark on a Northeast Laos Adventure Trip

Departing from Vientiane, we will arrive at Phonsavan, one of the most attractive places to visit in Laos (air tickets are not included in the tour cost).

Phonsavan, known as “paradise hills”, will welcome you with its lush green mountains and fresh air. In the afternoon, we will explore this beautiful small town together.

You can visit the UXO Information Center. Here, you will learn about the continuous efforts of the British organization MAG (Mine Advisory Group) in cleaning up landmines, making the lives of Laotians safer since 1994.

In the evening, you are welcome to explore the Phonsavan tour. You can stroll around the night market, enjoy delicious cuisine, or interact with friendly locals.

Today, we will explore together one of the biggest mysteries of Laos: the Plain of Jars. Recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site, this place is an open-air museum with hundreds of giant stone jars scattered across the green plain. The special thing is that, despite being recognized, the Plain of Jars is still quite wild and peaceful, promising to bring you a unique discovery experience.

Together we will delve into the history and mysterious stories surrounding these stone jars in this Laos Itinerary 8 days. Some people believe that they are urns to hold ashes, others believe that they are used to brew wine. Whatever they are, these stone jars are still a big mystery that archaeologists are trying to find answers to.

On this Laos Itinerary 8 days, you will have the opportunity to admire stone jars in different locations, from the largest jars to smaller jars.

Afterward, you will also have the opportunity to visit a small monastery in Ban Xieng Di, passing through areas that were important battlefields during the war against America.

The new day starts with a light breakfast at the hotel, then we will immerse ourselves in the beautiful natural scenery on the road leading to Sam Neua - a journey that is likened to “a million turns”.

Stopping at Tham Piew Cave, you will admire one of the unique natural wonders, which was once a shelter for local people during the fierce war years.

Continuing our Laos Itinerary for 8 days, we will visit the traditional villages of the Hmong and Khmu people. You will witness firsthand the skillful craftsmen creating beautiful brocade fabrics, imbued with the nation's cultural identity.

Finally, we will arrive at Sam Neua - a peaceful small town hidden in the middle of the mountains and forests. Let's explore with Asia Tour Deals the interesting things in this capital of Houaphan province and enjoy a peaceful night at a local guesthouse.

After a delicious breakfast at the hotel, we will explore Viengsay - a magnificent valley with majestic limestone mountains and mysterious caves.

First, we will visit the cave of Kaysone Phomvihane - the great leader who led the Lao revolution to victory.

Next, we will stop at the cave of Prince Souphanouvong - the “Red Prince” famous for his patriotism. You will hear fascinating historical stories about the lives and careers of these heroes.

After lunch, we will continue our Laos Itinerary for 8 days to Son Koua Village, a beautiful village located at the gateway to Nam Et-Phou Louey National Park. This place promises to bring you wonderful experiences of exploring nature.

Today, you will participate in a unique night hunting trip in Nam Nern, Laos - a rare opportunity to admire rare wild animals in Laos Itinerary for 8 days. This trip is not just a simple sightseeing trip but also contributes to the conservation of tigers and other endangered animals.

Departing by boat, you will go up the river to the park's transformer station, watching colorful birds typical of Indochina.

After night falls, you will board the boat and float gently on the river in a quiet space. After breakfast, head back to the main hut and gather your belongings for the leisurely boat ride back to the village, stopping along the way to observe the birds.

Proceed via road to Nong Khiaw, reaching it just before dusk. The six-hour journey through one of Laos' most remote areas is lengthy today, but the route offers some breathtaking vistas.

Start your day relaxingly with breakfast overlooking the charming mountain and river scenery while the fog still covers the valley.

Then head with your guide to Muang Ngoy, an isolated fishing village, to hike and kayak along the scenic Nam Ou River.

You will sit on a traditional boat, gently floating up the river for about 45 minutes. The scenery on both sides of the river appears very simple: buffalos are enjoying cooling off, local people are casting nets to fish, and children are innocently playing in the clear water. All create a beautiful picture, giving you an incredible feeling of peace.

Continuing our Laos Tour Package, we will stop at Sopkonh village of the Khmu people. You will have the opportunity to learn about the culture, customs, and daily lives of local people.

Then, we will walk together through lush green rice fields to explore the beautiful Tad Mook limestone waterfall. You can relax, enjoy the cool water, and enjoy a picnic lunch amidst beautiful natural scenery.

Finally, we will continue our Laos Adventure by kayak, gently rowing through small rapids to reach the beautiful town of Nong Khiaw.
