Kick off your first full day in Luang Prabang with a gentle walk around the old streets. After a morning market visit, we go to see the former King's Palace - which now has been changed into the National Museum.
Afterward, admire the finest temple in Laos named Wat Xieng Thong, and pray for peace and a smooth journey.
We continue the 8-day Laos itinerary with a leisurely cruise to Pak Ou Caves, a famous site not too far from the town. Walk in the caves, you will see countless Buddha images in different colors and shapes.
Add a touch of cultural immersion as we stop by a craft village. Taste Lao whiskey and learn how the locals make traditional textiles.

Today, get an early start to grasp the opportunity to join the daily almsgiving ceremony - Tak Bat. Right before sunrise, faithful residents give their alms to hundreds of saffron-clad monks.
Following the ceremony, we depart to Kuang Si Falls, one of the most charming waterfalls in Laos. Take pictures, swim at the turquoise pool, or explore the surrounding jungle.
On the route back, you can choose to at the Free the Bears sanctuary. Then, you will get to see the professional textile production at Ock Pop Tok Weaving Centre.

After breakfast, Our’s tour guide will take you to Tham Xang (Elephant Cave) in the north of Vang Vieng. Hear about the story behind its name and enjoy spectacular views from here.
The nearby Tham Hoi Cave (Snail Cave) will allow you to float through the cave on inflatable tubes. Then, enjoy a refreshing swim in the cool water of Tham Nam (Water Cave).
Afterward, have a picnic lunch before hiking to a Hmong village for local culture. Return to Vang Vieng by kayaking down the Nam Song, sailing by the villages with limestone karsts in the background.
Later in the afternoon, leave Vang Vieng for Vientiane.

Welcome to the capital of Laos! After breakfast at the hotel, embark on a drive to Buddha Park (about 46 minutes). En route, take a break on the Friendship Bridge which was built in 1994 to link Laos and Thailand.
You’re free to wander around Buddha Park. This remarkable park features more than 200 statues of Buddhist and Hindu deities, crafted in 1958 by a Laotian shaman and yogi-priest.
Then continue the Vientiane tour to Phou Khao Khouay National Park. This is a must-see spot for mountain ranges, sandstone cliffs, rivers, and waterfalls..., not to mention the diverse wildlife.
Proceed to the nearby Ban Hat Khai Village to unique the authentic culture of the Lao Loum ethnic group. You will spend the night in a local accommodation to experience the warmth and hospitality of the Lao people.

Today, you'll continue to explore Phou Khao Khouay on a hike to the protected area. Don’t forget to capture the impressive waterfalls along the way.
After breakfast, embark on a long-tail boat up the stream of Nam Mang, followed by an hour-long trek through an evergreen canopy. Along the trails, spot tropical butterflies, and orchids, and learn about rare wildlife like deer, bears, tigers, and elephants in the reserve.
Then you'll reach the magnificent pair of waterfalls: Tad Xai and Pha Xay. At Tad Xay, admire the seven-step waterfall and enjoy the serene cascades. The Nam Mang River continues 800 meters to Pha Xay, where it plunges 40 meters into the gorge. Enjoy swimming in the crystal clear waters and pristine beauty of Laos.
After lunch by the waterfall, cross the Nam Leuk to begin the second part of the trek, a two-hour journey through diverse forest landscapes.
To wrap the day up, back to the village and return to Vientiane in the late afternoon.
