After breakfast, Check out the hotel and head south of Champasak to Don Khong, on the Mekong River.
Visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site at Wat Phou, also referred to as Vat Phou, and explore the ruins of this fabled temple and its crumbling buildings on the Wat Phou tour.
Continue in Laos Itinerary for 4 days, and proceed to Khong Island, the biggest island in Southern Laos and the beginning of the 4,000 islands, after stopping for lunch along the way. This region, known as "Siphandon" in Lao, is where the Mekong River flows for over 14 km, past thousands of islands surrounded by rapids and waterfalls.
As part of your Laos Itinerary 4 days, you'll arrive at the tranquil island of Don Khong in the late afternoon, where you'll spend the night amid small villages and plantations.
You should use a tuk-tuk or bicycle to explore the area for the remainder of the day.

Take a trip across the Siphandon River Archipelago in a traditional long-tail boat. Discover places to visit in Khong Island, the rural island where people lead modest lives.
In this Khong Island tour, you will see the breathtaking Liphi Falls, also known as the "Devil's Corridor" which forms a natural border between Laos and Cambodia and is home to the endangered Irrawaddy dolphin (sadly, the last river dolphin known here was found dead in early 2022).
Proceed to the 10 km-long Khone Pha Pheng Waterfall, the biggest waterfall in Southeast Asia and one of the most magnificent natural landmarks in Laos tour.
