Officially start your Cambodia and Laos Itinerary 12 days with a full day at the mysterious Angkor temples. Wake before dawn and hop on a “tuk-tuk” ride to visit the magnificent Angkor Wat - the largest Khmer temple and the finest example to study Angkorian art and architecture. 

Don't worry if you haven't eaten yet, we will arrange a table with hot tea or coffee and breakfast boxes near Angkor Wat.

After breakfast, the Angkor Wat tour will continue to Angkor Thom’s imposing South Gate. Next, we will reach Bayon to capture the vivid smiling stone faces at the temple. As you walk through the temples, listen to your guide for a fascinating insight into the temple’s ancient origin, vicious battles and intricate bas-reliefs.

Later, we will turn to the Elephant Terrace, the Terrace of the Leper King and lastly Ta Phrom Temple. 

Back to your hotel and the rest of the day to explore more of Siem Reap.

After breakfast, Day 3 kicks off with a 25-kilometer drive to the countryside for the "gem" of the Angkor area: Banteay Srei Temple. As a popular place to visit in Siem Reap and a well-preserved temple, it is also called the "Citadel of the Women". 

The pink sandstone of the temple makes it one of a kind, you can find this nowhere else in Angkor. If you’re into architecture or art, this small temple is a must-visit for its remarkable bas-reliefs of classical Khmer Art. 

Return to your hotel and enjoy the lunch break.

In the afternoon, continue to explore Tonle Sap Lake. This place is ideal for culture lovers because we can interact and learn about the real lives around Siem Reap, specifically on the lake. The boat tour includes stops such as flooded forests, floating villages, crocodile & fish farms… 

Note: Boat trips are available from July to February due to low water levels during the dry season. If the weather doesn’t allow it, we will change to a trip to the floating villages at Chong Kneas.

Today, the Cambodia and Laos Itinerary 12 days tour will take you to enjoy the great nature in a very different way. Get ready for a Siem Reap horseback riding experience! 

Begin the morning as we travel to Happy Ranch, a western-style horse ranch. Take some time to meet the pure Cambodian breed horses descended from the wild horses of Mongolia.

After a safety briefing, you will hit the trail to Siem Reap's beautiful countryside. Don’t worry if you’ve never ridden a horse before, there are horses suitable for all experience levels from placid ponies to young lively geldings. It’s even friendly to families!

While riding on the horseback, enjoy the scenes of rural villages. At some farms and rice paddies, we will pause to meet the locals and take some photos. There is also a temple for us to stop by and have a break before looping back to Happy Ranch. 

After goodbye to the adorable horses, back to Siem Reap by lunchtime and spent the rest of the day freely.

Say farewell to Siem Reap and switch to an exciting Phnom Penh tour. Spend the morning on your own until the driver transfers you to the airport.

After the flight to the capital city of Cambodia, check in to your hotel and rewind.

Phnom Penh, the second city on your Cambodia and Laos Itinerary 12 days, is considered one of the loveliest cities in Indochina. Hop on a city tour and acquaint yourself with some major places to visit in Phnom Penh.

The Tuol Sleng Prison Museum and the notorious “Killing Fields” of Choeung Ek provide a deep look into the painful bloody page of history. 

In the afternoon, we will have a visit to the Royal Palace. It is now where the Cambodia royal family lives in. Take a look at the Silver Pagoda at the northern area of the palace, today preserving religious and cultural treasures.

Next is the National Museum, famous for the world's huge collection of Khmer art (bronzes, ceramics, sculpture,…).

Morning, enjoy the last moments in the city of Cambodia before your flight to Vientiane. The driver will pick you up and then you can have a free day to explore the capital by yourself.

Some recommendations are local cafés, restaurants and traditional spas. You should also visit the evening market on the banks of the river.

Ready for the rich blend of culture? Many French colonial sites and Buddhist temples will be included in the Vientiane tour today.

Our first destination is Wat Sisaket, considered Vientiane's oldest remaining temple with over 2,000 silver and ceramic Buddha images on the internal walls. 

Your tour continues with a visit to Wat Phra Keo, originally built to enshrine the famed Emerald Buddha, and Wat Si Muang. Next  stop of the trip is the iconic Patuxai Monument, often referred to a different version of Paris’s Arc de Triomphe.

Can’t miss the golden spire Pha That Luang, constructed in the 16th century and the Buddha Park filled with unique sculptures.

Finally, travel to the Mekong River banks to take in the sunset. Stroll along the riverbank, enjoy a cool drink, or sample local snacks from nearby food stalls before your transfer back to the hotel.

Continue your Cambodia and Laos Itinerary 12 Days with Luang Prabang, a captivating World Heritage town set in a lush mountain valley at the meeting of the Mekong and Nam Khan Rivers. This former royal capital is known for its stunning colonial architecture, vibrant markets, and serene monasteries.

After breakfast at the hotel, the driver from Asia Tour Deals will escort you to the airport for a flight to the airport. Meet another guide of yours on arrival, who will introduce you to the rich culture and history of Luang Prabang.

After strolling through Luang Prabang’s ancient streets, we will visit the stupa of Wat Wisunarat, a significant 16th-century temple with a small museum displaying religious artifacts. Continue to Wat That Luang, where Lao royalty, including King Sisavang Vong, are interred.

Your Laos tour then takes you to Wat Xieng Thong, a 16th-century masterpiece with elegant, sweeping roofs that epitomize classic Lao design. The local guide will tell you about the layers of history and beauty when it served as the invaders’ headquarters.

Continue with Wat Mai and the National Museum (the nearby former Royal Palace), before we trek to the peak of Mount Phousi for a beautiful sunset.

Start the day early to admire the sacred almsgiving ceremony, Tak Bat. As the sun begins to rise,  monks in orange robes leave their pagodas and walk barefoot down the streets to collect offerings from Luang Prabang residents.

Back to the hotel for breakfast, and the next highlight of the Cambodia and Laos Itinerary 12 days tour is the well-known picturesque Kuang Si Waterfalls. Reach nearby Kuang Si Bear Rescue Centre by walking through the forest, and try your hand with the bears feeding. 

Next, we will walk through the national park to the Kuang Si Waterfall, where it pours into multi-tiered turquoise pools. Climb to the top and go for a swim if you love to!
