Phnom Penh to Ho Chi Minh City in 5 days (Downstream)

You will board the cruise in the late morning and have lunch on board.

In the afternoon, you are free to explore Phnom Penh at your own pace, including sightseeing, shopping, or experiencing the city's vibrant restaurants and bars.

Before dinner at the Sun Deck, you will enjoy a cultural entertainment program with performances by local children, including Apsara (traditional Khmer dance) and other unique folk dances.

In the morning, the cruise departs from Phnom Penh, along the Mekong River towards the Cambodia–Vietnam border.

During the morning, you will enjoy a gentle cruise on the river with beautiful natural scenery. On board, cultural activities are organized, including: introducing and tasting tropical fruits, instructing how to make Vietnamese spring rolls, as well as introducing traditional Cambodian costumes.

Before dinner, the captain will organize a cocktail and a “sabering” performance to bring you an interesting experience.

In the morning, visitors will travel by traditional sampan to Hong Ngu island village, the Mekong Delta region near the Vietnam-Cambodia border.

Many local families are weaving traditional Khmer scarves, and some hand-embroiderers display their works, allowing visitors to learn about the traditional weaving process.

Before leaving the island, visitors will have the opportunity to walk around and visit the house of a local veteran.

After lunch on the cruise, the journey continues with a short sampan trip to My An Hung village - a beautiful rural village in the Mekong Delta.

You will walk through the village, interact with the locals, enjoy fresh coconut water, and be invited to enjoy honey tea and fruit, besides the "Don Ca Tai Tu" performance and an impressive VOVINAM martial arts performance by local youth.

Upon arrival in Sa Dec, you will depart by sampan boat through the narrow canals of the Mekong, observing the daily life of the locals. In Sa Dec, visit the house of Mr. Huynh Thuy Le – the inspiration for “L’Amant” by Marguerite Duras – and the Kien An Cung temple. You will also stroll through the market, admiring the colors of fresh produce, meat, fish, and seafood.

At Cai Be, board a rowing boat with a man wearing a conical hat, exploring the beautiful canals of the Delta. After rowing, take a sampan boat trip to a small workshop where artisans make rice paper, rice wine, and popped rice, along with souvenirs and oil paintings.

Continue the Cai Be tour packages through the narrow canals to Cau Xeo, where you will have many opportunities to take photos of the sights, such as rice rafts, rice mills, thatched houses, and temples. Back on the boat, you will relax and enjoy the sunset as the cruise heads towards My Tho port.

In the evening, guests gather at the Sun Deck in front of Le Salon Lounge to attend a farewell party with the team, then enjoy a Vietnamese-style farewell dinner at the Le March dining room.
