Work’s been nuts lately, and this cruise was the reset I didn’t know I needed. Just sailing through calm water with no emails or pings? Heaven. The staff on Indochina Sails were on point too, super chill but professional.
First time doing an overnight boat and I’m obsessed. Surprise Cave was dope, especially with the lights inside. The hike was short but worth it. Halong Bay is way cooler in person than in any picture I’ve seen.
After dinner, a few of us stayed up playing cards and trying squid fishing. Didn’t catch anything but had a blast. The crew even joined in and joked around. It felt more like hanging with friends than being on a tour.
Me Cung Cave had major adventure vibes. It’s not just walking through rocks, it feels like you’re in a storybook. Indochina Sails planned it all so well, no crowds, just quiet exploring and cool stories from the guide.
I mostly stayed on the top deck with a drink and a book. Didn’t even feel like I needed to do every activity. Lan Ha Bay in the distance, some music, good breeze... that’s my kind of trip.
Tried squid fishing for the first time and was way more fun than I expected. Didn’t catch one but got really into it. The crew gave us tips and made it fun. We ended up chatting late with some other travelers on deck.
I was not expecting cruise food to slap like that. Dinner was seriously delicious, fresh seafood, cool presentation, and that fruit carving demo? Chef was a total pro. Would eat it all again in a heartbeat.
Morning hike up Titov was sweaty but the view? Unreal. You see the whole bay from up there. Then we swam to cool off, water was clear and calm. Halong Bay wins the day, hands down.
2D1N went by way too fast. Just when I was starting to relax, it was time to leave. Next time I’m def booking the 3-day version. Shoutout to Indochina Sails for making everything smooth from check-in to goodbye.
You ever stare at your laptop wallpaper and think “I wanna go there”? Well, this cruise was exactly that. Halong Bay looks fake in the best way. Blue water, misty cliffs, and total peace. I felt like I was dreaming.
Took my mom on this cruise, and she was grinning the whole time. The staff were so sweet to her, especially during dinner. She kept saying how calm everything was. Big win for a family getaway.
That sunset from the sundeck? Straight-up magic. Everyone went quiet, phones out, just soaking it in. The colors were insane. Bonus: the happy hour drinks weren’t bad either. Thanks Indochina Sails for that golden moment.
I was solo but didn’t feel alone for a sec. Ended up sharing a table with a couple from Denmark and we clicked instantly. We did Titov hike together and even exchanged pics after. Cruises bring folks together, I guess.
There was signal in some spots, but honestly I didn’t check my phone much. Being off-grid on Lan Ha Bay felt like a digital detox. Just water, cliffs, great food, and good convos. Best two days in Vietnam so far.
