We only had time for a short trip so picked the 2D1N The Au Co Cruise. The schedule was full but not overwhelming. Kayaking at Luon Cave was calm and safe, guides gave clear instructions. Dinner was filling, with enough choice for picky eaters. Happy hour at sunset made it feel special, great spot to just sit and watch the cliffs go by.
I booked the 3D2N Au Co Cruise and glad I didn’t go shorter. Each day had something new – biking, kayaking, hiking, caves – so it never felt repetitive. The crew managed everything smoothly and were always friendly. I really liked the visit to Cua Van floating village, it was peaceful and not crowded. At night it was quiet and I slept well.
I traveled with my parents and the staff were very kind to them, even helping my dad with stairs. Meals included vegetarian choices so we had no problem. The bay views were stunning the whole way, just sitting on deck was enough sometimes. My mom enjoyed the cooking demo and joined in. My dad laughed a lot at the rice wine tasting, he even bought a small bottle.
Did the overnight cruise, just one night but it felt packed with activities. Kayaking was fun and easier than I thought. The evening was chill, had a beer on the top deck watching the sunset. Breakfast next morning was simple but good. For us it was stress-free, everything ran on time, no confusion at all.

Booked the 3D2N The Au Co Cruise and would recommend it over the shorter trip. We hiked Titov Island which was sweaty but the view was insane. Cua Van village by kayak was peaceful and felt authentic. The meals were varied and tasty, never boring. Cabins were quiet at night and I got solid sleep. The staff were relaxed but professional, just the right balance.
We picked the 2D1N tour as we didn’t have much time. The schedule was tight but we managed fine. Tai Chi class at sunrise was fun to try, though I’m not flexible. The cabin was clean and quiet, bathroom small but did the job. Dinner service was fast and efficient. It ended too soon, I wish we had done 3 days instead.
The 3D2N trip gave us enough time to slow down and enjoy the bay. Mornings with coffee on the deck were amazing, quiet and peaceful. Crew were friendly and seemed genuinely happy to help. Kayaking on day 2 was smooth, no rush and plenty of space. Meals had good variety, I never felt hungry. Everything was organized, no stress, just easy travel.
