The Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda were stunning. The National Museum had some really interesting pieces, and our guide made it easy to follow. Flying to Siem Reap in the afternoon kept things moving without feeling rushed.
The speedboat from Chau Doc to Phnom Penh was smooth and a fun way to cross the border. Phnom Penh’s Killing Fields and Tuol Sleng Museum were heavy but important visits. Glad they were part of the tour.
Cai Rang Floating Market was worth the early start. Boats selling noodles, coffee, and fruit, all on the water. The trip to Tra Su Forest in the afternoon was peaceful, and the boat ride through the green canopy was something I’ll remember.
The Mekong Delta trip was relaxing and full of little surprises. We tried coconut candy, listened to folk music, and even cycled through the orchards. Lunch in a garden setting was really good, fresh and simple.
Ho Chi Minh City was a complete change of pace. The Reunification Palace, the old Post Office, and Ben Thanh Market all in one day made it feel full-on but fun. Evening walks by the night market were a nice way to slow it down.
The drive to Hue with a coffee break at Lap An Lagoon was such a nice touch. Khai Dinh Tomb was my favorite stop - so different from anything else on the trip. The Citadel tour was interesting but it’s big, so wear comfy shoes.
The Hoian eco tour was a blast – riding a water buffalo, paddling a basket boat, and even catching a crab. The afternoon walking tour hit all the landmarks in the old town. This 16-Day Classic Vietnam and Cambodia Tour from Hanoi really packs in variety.
It was cool to see Vietnam and then suddenly be in Cambodia halfway through. The flight from Hanoi to Siem Reap was smooth, and arriving at our hotel there felt like starting a whole new adventure within the same tour.
The overnight cruise in Halong Bay was one of my top memories from this trip. Calm water, limestone islands everywhere, and fresh seafood for dinner. Woke up early for Tai Chi on the deck and a short rowboat trip before heading back.
Went to Bac Ha market and it was so colorful. People selling everything from animals to handmade clothes. Loved the buzz of it all. The drive back to Hanoi was a bit tiring but worth it for the morning experience.
The Ta Giang Phing trek was the perfect mix of exercise and meeting people. The Red Zao and Hmong locals were so open to chatting, even with the language barrier. I picked the medium trek – just enough to feel it but not die halfway through.
The drive to Sapa was long but the views made it worth it. My highlight was Sau Chua village – not crowded, friendly locals, and the best sunset over Sapa town. Felt like we had the place to ourselves. I took way too many photos.
Tran Quoc Pagoda was such a peaceful start to the day. We had time to grab coffee by West Lake before moving on to Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum and the Temple of Literature. The cyclo ride through the Old Quarter was my favorite part – so much life on every street.
Loved starting the trip in Hanoi Old Quarter. The walking tour hit all the right spots like Hoan Kiem Lake and the Temple, and the water puppet show was better than I expected. Dinner on the first night set the tone for the trip – good food and easy conversation with the group. Great way to kick off the 16-Day Classic Vietnam and Cambodia Tour from Hanoi.

Chloe Davis,
United StatesWaking up before 5 am for Angkor Wat was so worth it. The temple lit up as the sun came up was unforgettable. The rest of the day was temple-hopping - Bayon and Ta Prohm were my personal favorites.
