We start our exploration to the vast wetlands, bird life and remote stilt communities around the Tonle Sap Lake, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve recognized in 1997. In Chhnok Tru, visit an interesting ice factory and learn from locals what life is when everything “floats” on water - school, pagoda, police station, church and even the karaoke bar.

After lunch, we continue to visit the floating village of Moat Khla – an isolated community accessible only by water, to get close to the daily life of villagers and see how people live on floating houses.

Then, take part in a Buddhist blessing ceremony to feel the holy and traditional atmosphere from this ancient ceremony. This is to pray for you with lots of good lucks and good health – sure you will be amazed by those beautiful moments.

Today you will have a great chance to explore the diversity of birdlife at Prek Toal Core Bird Reserve – a famous names among bird-watching lovers. Tonle Sap is one of the largest freshwater bodies in Asia and also the home of large water birds – today you may have an opportunity to watch them.

The area is covered mostly by freshwater swamp forest and is home to many rare waterbirds, especially during the dry season – so it becomes one of the best places for birdwatching from Siem Reap.

We will experience a boat trip across the Tonle Sap Great Lake and through the shrub of flooded forest, inside the protected area. You also can see how Cambodian locals live at a real floating village – Prek Toal. While visiting the Core Bird Reserve, we will approach it by rowing sampan – you will feel the peaceful and truly natural atmosphere over here.

The most outstanding ones among the treasures, are a solid gold Buddha statue encrusted with 9,584 diamonds, weighing 90 kilos and a smaller Buddha statue, dated back from 17th century with emerald and baccarat crystal.

Then we visit the National Museum the biggest museum of the country with a large collection of Khmer art, pottery, Angkorian artifacts which were excavated at the Angkor Temple complex in Siem Reap and other places in Cambodia.

Enjoying breakfast and a cup of morning coffee will be a great time on board. We then will start the day exploring Chau Doc by embarking on small boats and cruise along Bassac Canal to visit Chau Doc floating market. See the local people purchasing and selling their agricultural products and other necessary things in daily life – everything happens on the river. This will be an interesting and new experience for you.

Afterwards, we disembark and take a van transfer to Long Son Pagoda which is located on the top of Sam Mountain. The pagoda is considered one of the holiest places in Chau Doc with a beautiful architectural style and large campus. From the pagoda, you can enjoy the panoramic views over the valley with lush gardens, vast rice fields and small villages.

On the way return, you will pass by a colorful morning market. Or you can also enjoy a bike ride on Long Khanh Island or a rickshaw ride to visit Tan Chau Market to enjoy some shopping.

For those who wish to have more outdoor activities, grab your bicycle and paddle along the river bank passing through Buddhist temples and traditional houses as well as peaceful landscape.

The most outstanding ones among the treasures, are a solid gold Buddha statue encrusted with 9,584 diamonds, weighing 90 kilos and a smaller Buddha statue, dated back from 17th century with emerald and baccarat crystal.

Afterwards, we disembark and take a van transfer to Long Son Pagoda which is located on the top of Sam Mountain. Enjoy the exotic landscape of rice fields and get deep into the shadow of palm trees along the way. Afterwards, you will cruise across the river and disembark to take an ox cart ride along the river banks of Tonle Sap. We pass through lacquered wooden houses and may encounter the rustic sights of local life.
